Durbin: LBJ Couldn't Pass Medicare Today

At a forum hosted by Common Cause and Public Campaign today, Sen. Richard Durbin, D-Ill., remarked on the difficulty of passing health care reform, saying that President Lyndon Baines Johnson would not have been able to pass his landmark Medicare bill in today's climate.
